N6650M2 is a nylon 6.6 compound with a viscosity suitable for general-purpose injection molding applications, containing finely dispersed molybdenum disulfide. N6650M2HS contains an effective heat stabilizer package and is recommended for use in applications where resistance to the effects of prolonged exposure to high temperatures is required. The properties of this heat stabilized grade are similar to those of the general purpose product, Although nylon is well recognized for its inherently excellent bearing characteristics, particularly in harsh or abrasive environments, the use of these compounds is recommended to achieve improved friction and wear performance for both high load/low speed and higher speed/low load bearing applications, especially when the use of external lubricants such as oils or greases is not permitted.

 

These formulations exhibit all the performance characteristics typical of nylon compounds, including excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals and solvents. Processing characteristics are essentially unchanged, although practical experience suggests that somewhat faster cycle times can often be achieved compared with general-purpose nylon 6.6.
